Vienna (pts008/19.01.2006/09:57) i.convienna is an international congress on ICT and consulting parallel to Vienna's ICT trade show ITnT http://www.itnt.at. Its scope is to be a premium Central European meeting point for politics and business. Representatives from Politics and international organisations as well as speakers on technologies and business from various European and Overseas countries characterise Vienna's typical role as a turntable for international ICT business between East and West.

The congress contains nine themed conferences. The ICT stream, "IT: Public Sector and Industries", is organised by ITBeurope, the European network of ICT associations. The lectures range from national strategies to new technologies, country specific business information and associations and networking.

1:1 Matchmaking

The highlights of the conference are the 1:1 matchmaking sessions scheduled by an automated matchmaking tool on ITBeurope's web site. One of ITBeurope's main goals is to compensate the lack of large ICT multinationals in Europe by international cooperation of ICT SMEs. The geographic focus is Central and Eastern Europe, although there are also delegations from North America, China and Thailand.

Registration has been opened for the congress and the matchmaking; the virtual matchmaking starts on Feb. 1st, 2006, for scheduled meetings from Feb. 14 to 16.

ITBeurope offers its partner organisations, their members and other eligible participants free access to all events.
